Saw this car when it was in Vancouver too. We even did a photo shoot with other local 993s.

And agreed this over a Singer too. This is a piece of Porsche history, just too bad driving it is not a realistic option.

You can't even compare, the RS is a totally different driving experience from the 993TT. Hmmm but the Singer has to be amazing too, but I still think of it as a very expensive hot rod 911.

looks like that 993 clubsport has been driven around 15-20000 k's since Alex sold it, a couple of years ago.
that price tag is approximately a 60% mark-up, compared to what Alex sold the car for, when it was truly low mileage and truly flawless.

Wow that dealer or someone actually put on that many KM's is very surprising! I somehow recall it being around low 20K kms, guess it was lower.

When it was in Vancouver:

As the owner of a 95 C2 I would definitely choose the Singer over the RS Club. Rarity and exclusivity aside the Singer offers the bespoke custom interior. A stripped down version of my interior with a cage and zero creature comforts would get old real fast even with that amazing engine behind you.

I will be controversial. I'll take neither ( not a Singer fan because it's not a real Porsche). For that kind of money I'll take a Carrera GT hands down. Half a million plus for a kit car?

Guys, you are all missing the point. This car will appeal to collectors or a Porschephile that has every model(aka. Jerry Seinfeld). Money or future value is a margin factor as part of the consideration to purchase. If I had the means, BOTH 993 RS and Singer would be in my garage....just saying.

This clubsport might not be street legal in certain areas due to the full cage.

But for the places that it is legal, it would be a hot rod ride. Minimalist car. No carpet, roll up windows etc.
A fun toy for a quick sprint around town.

The Singer is a totally different animal. It is a back date hotrod with modern technology.
Not porsche history, but it is a collectable from a supply and demand standpoint.

I want both!

Don't be "slow". You know what I mean. You won't get a Singer for 500K either.

I'm with you on loving the CGT, but it's a completely different car that I don't think can be compared directly to a 993RS OR a Singer on anything but price tag. Might as well say "I'd rather a yacht".

What's a kit car... the 993 RS or the Singer? Either way, I'm not sure you "get it".

Comparing a Singer ( the kit car) to a Carrera GT is like comparing it to a yacht? And I don't get it?

Apparently the point of my statement went way over your head. They are such different cars for different buyers that you might as well compare it to a yacht because the price tag is about the only thing they have in common. I love the CGT but these are not cars that I would ever cross-shop. One is a race-bred supercar and the other is a bespoke re-creation of the 911. If all you're looking at is the dollar sign then you don't understand what the vehicles actually are.

Calling the singer a kit car is laughable. Have you ever seen a singer in person? There's more passion and craftsmanship in the gearshifter than there is in your whole 50th edition. I guess having owned 14525 Porsches and 400 BMWs doesn't mean much when it comes to understanding what makes these vehicles so special... tell me, is your car just a status symbol or do you truly have a love for these vehicles? When you shop cars do you just ask for the most expensive one in the dealership, or do you buy them because they instil a certain emotional response from you every time you get behind the wheel?

I only ask the above because it seems every post you make is about the cost of a car or commenting on "real Porsches" or bragging about how many you've owned. I've never read anything from you that gave me the impression you truly love the experience that owning these cars brings regardless of the price tag.
