Check engine light and taking the G2 test
My neighbor asked me to reset her check engine light (evap valve has failed) because her son is taking the G2 driving test and they will fail him if the light is on. I'm not current of what is required when taking the road test but I find this extremely weird to have as a must. Anyone heard of this before or know where to find official info on this?

There is certainly a list of must have's for using your own car for a G2 test but that is not one of them. More to do with saftey, unobstructed views etc etc

Found something that looks official, no mention of check engine light.

We had to put electrical tape on the backup camera lens and on the multifunction screen to block the messages tho, kinda looks crappy but no issues.
