An innocent trip to the Pfaff store three weeks ago...
So I stopped by Pfaff Porsche three weeks ago as I was in the area on a sunny Saturday afternoon... The rest of the story I probably don't even need to expand on, you only need one guess at what happened... Haha.
Cross posted from the 997TT subforum; see you guys at the Saturday coffee meets as usual.

After almost a month since making the deal in principle with a local Porsche store, I finally picked up my new-to-me 2008 Turbo last night!
I traded in my 2003 Cobalt Blue C4S on the deal - the Porsche store offered me more than what I paid for it in April 2015 and coupled with the tax advantage of a trade, made it a no brainer versus selling privately.
Here's my new acquisition: 2008 Turbo, Carrara White with these notable options:
-Factory aerokit
-Silver wheels painted exterior color
-Locking differential
-Sport Chrono
-Alcantara seats, steering wheel and shifter
-Red deviated stitching everywhere
-Seatbacks painted exterior color
-Adaptive seats
It's a Canadian car with an original MSRP of $186k CAD, pretty much every option except PCCB's. I'm the third owner of the car and it has 61,000km (38,000mi).
I was able to negotiate as part of the deal brand new PS2's, full brakes F&R, oil change, repaint front bumper cover and lip to repair chips and road rash, paint front grill body color, and an FVD 200 cell exhaust system. I had a local well known pcar indy do a thorough PPI on the car, including using a borocope to get down to the coolant fittings to inspect for dried coolant or any signs of a leak - PPI came back clean other than 12 ignitions in range 4 which I am not concerned about in the least.
The FVD exhaust sounds... incredible, for lack of a better word. I have never heard a 997TT with an exhaust system so had no idea what to expect other than what I read people posting here that the Turbo sounds like a Dyson vacuum lol... I had a full 200 cell x-pipe & catback exhaust on my C4S so I was worried about losing that quality sound from the N/A motor - I can't describe how much better this Turbo sounds than my 996 with full exhaust. The bark when I started the car grabbed EVERYONE on the lot's attention and I had a **** eating grin on my face all the way home.
Picked it up last night under blue skies, for a 2 hour drive home. Within 5 minutes of leaving the dealer? Massive rainstorm the rest of the way home lol... Glad I snapped a few photos before leaving the Porsche store!

First order of business is the car is being dropped off to Wes @ Orion Detailing on Monday for a full paint correction & cquartz. He's coordinating with John @ Auto Links to also have the bumper, fenders and hood + side skirts + rear hips wrapped in Xpel Ultimate + window tint.
Only other immediate plans for the car are to install my 15mm rear / 7mm front spacers, and lower the car with Eibach springs.
Next summer I'll look into a tune, a new clutch to go with the tune, and the TPC DSC module.
Hoping to get out with the boys on July 11th for some track time @ Cayuga, can't wait to see how it feels.

Congrats Chris! I love the Turbos in white and yours is so well equipped!
Would have loved to purchased your old cats to compliment my exhaust - it sounded great too! Make sure to post of vid of your new TT showcasing its new sound.
Cheers

Oh I very much plan on capturing a decent video with my camera + mic setup, like I did the C4S.
Just as an FYI to anyone who is looking, or knows someone looking, for a mint 100% documented 996 C4S in a rare color with factory installed M97 motor - Pfaff Porsche now has one...
It would be great to see the car stay in the RL community, it's such a sweet ride with the better M97 motor and a service / maintenance log 2" thick since it's birth. An enthusiast's dream car. I bet Pfaff lists it for $40k+ though

[QUOTE=Jamie140;13354766]Ha. It was supposed to be the 'scenic' route through Caledon, Kleinburg, then west above brampton in the country, through Georgetown and then down into Burlington via 15 sideroad and guelph line. Instead it was wipers on full blast and OPP behind me 4 different times. Oh well!

nicely done, while I personally don't like the painted grills on any 911, the car is a great upgrade...and anyone who says a Turbo 911 can't sound great is out-to-lunch.... and + opt. 220 is a win
