See you guys on Saturday! Three of us coming out for the meet.
Anyone interested in seeing a manual F430? Could bring it out the following week instead of the Porsche.

For those of you who don't want to scroll to the top
I've decided to start a new thread since we will be starting off fresh with a new location for April 2016.
Our summer location at Chapter's is closing and will most likely be demolished to make way for condos. It served us well for 10 years and allowed the GTG to grow from a handful of diehard attendees to close to 40 cars on some of the sunnier summer Saturdays. The GTG has spawned many friendships over the years, and served as a good meeting point for drives too.
As you can well imagine, finding a location that has parking, convenient access from major highways and some nearby facilities (bathrooms, coffee, shopping) is a real challenge. No location is ever perfect nor can it please everyone.
So we're going to do things a little differently and "audition" several locations over the next few weeks. This will allow us to gauge each location and hopefully make a more informed decision when we settle on the best one as a permanent location.
All of the candidate locations are within easy access of major highways and can provide a good start point for Fun Runs afterwards.
So here goes:
Saturday April 16, 10 am: SmartCenters Strip Mall
150 N Queen St, Etobicoke, ON M9C 1A8
There is a Tim Horton's there along with a few other restaurants. The parking is quite big, but until we try it out, we won't know which end will be best for us.
Saturday April 23, 10 am: The Wild Goose Restaurant
5395 Eglinton Ave W, Mississauga, ON M9C 5K6
This is a nice restaurant with a very private lot. There is also a terrace where you can sit and have breakfast/lunch. Over the years, a number of us have gone there after the GTG to grab a bite to eat. The owner has expressed enthusiasm for having a bunch of Porsche customers show up on regular basis. Glenn is going to see how serious the owner was about opening up a little earlier for coffee.
Saturday April 30, 10 am: Chapter's/Starbucks
3050 Vega Blvd, Mississauga, ON L5L 5X8
This is where Terry's SOLHA (Southern Ontario Long Hood Association) meets have been happening. 1 block east of the 403 / Dundas interchange on the North side . (West of Winston Churchill)
Nice patio area and plenty of excellent parking . This location is easily accessible from either the QEW, 403,
401, Dundas , as well as the 407. Let's check it out and see if we can reunite all the generations once again!
Saturday May 7, 10 am: Sherway Gardens Shopping Centre
North East corner (Where the Friday farmer's market is held, Intersection of Queensway and Hwy 427 exit)
There is a Starbuck's at Door #1 of the Mall which is a short walk from where we will be meeting. The Saks just opened, but that end of the lot stays pretty empty as it is far from the main entrances.
A few requests regarding this thread:
- Let's stay on topic please! No hijacks with photos of your BFF's car for sale or the latest mods you're doing to your daily driver; start your own topics elsewhere!
- No personal attacks, offensive or disparaging comments of the people who chose to join in these discussions and attend these meets.
- If you're not a "joiner" then don't join this discussion! Nobody really wants to hear about how you're NOT planning to attend.
- Please limit your posts to relevant information only. Anything else will be reported to the Mods with a request that they be deleted.
Winter location remains the same for November through March: Artisano's Bakery corner Titan and Islington Ave.

Suggestion if I may...I work down the street from Wild Goose & my car bottom's out on those huge speed bumps in that parking lot. There's a Brand new plaza with Starbucks & tons of parking space just down the street.

Really shouldn't be all that confusing if you know how to look at a calendar:

You can drive around the speed bumps on the weekend (no cars parked in the west parking area where the bumps are located). See it as a bit of a slalom course on your way to the GTG.

Really great turn out today. Special appearances by 2 GT4's and 2 matching 997.2 GT3RS'.
Location is pretty good. And yes the Tim Horton's is at the other end of the lot, but it's not that bad of a walk. You can also pop through their drive thru on the way in. Let's see how the next location works.
