Default CEL and Code help

My CEL came on in my 987.1CS. Car feels/sounds/performs fine. I got hold of a OBDII scanner and got: p1175, cleared it. Drove for a bit and the CEL didn't come back on...yet. What does this mean?

Bank 2 fuel trim(running lean or rich)...basic items may be O2 sensor(primary), MAF, plugs(but you'd likely get a miss as well...), could also be an air leak near the cylinder head ports

Did it capture any freezeframe data?

Thanks. I don't know what you mean by "freezeframe data." What is that?

I let the car cool down for an hour and then drove it again and the CEL has still not come back on. Should I still take it to a mechanic?

Freezeframe data is a 'snapshot' of engine parameters when the CEL occurs.
If its just a p1175, I'd run a tank or two of gas through it before getting worried about it.

Thanks. I went to the local autostore and borrowed their scanner so didn't see anything except that one code. How would I go about obtaining freezeframe data?

You'll need a Durametric scan tool to caputre freezeframe data.

Some, not all, scanners have it as a function...see if they can pull it up for you, take pics...

You're thinking live data/datalogging Mike, which is better but freezeframe is still very helpful. All cars store freezeframe data when issue/CEL happens.
