Nice one. At least the flywheel did't come apart and take out the bellhousing. Where did all the grease come from?

I have the same car and the flywheel never felt smooth at low rpm like the one in my old e28 535i did.
Where is the grease from?

Pretty sure the internal springs are packed in grease.
Is there an option to convert to a single mass type in this vehicle?

Have you removed the clutch delay valve? the P/N you need is
21522283914 and is about 20$ at a BMW dealer.

I keep them in stock.. on Older BMWs you just remove the valve and bend the line a little.

You should have your car checked annually for transmission worms.
