Winter Karting signup
We've got 5 dates lined up at GP Kartways, near Downsview Park:
Thurs. Dec. 3
Wed. Jan. 6
Wed. Feb. 3
Wed. Mar. 2
Wed. Apr. 6
So far we've got 3 races of 16 laps for $50/person with an estimate of 10 people. If we can get that number up we can hopefully get a better deal. Please consider this a "soft" commitment - nobody's going to have a fit if you don't show, but we don't want to send him estimates twice of what shows up.
If you haven't come out before, it's a lot of fun. Very competitive, lots of crashing, lots of trash talk. I believe it was Omar that took the wall out a few years ago

Just a few more detail:
As it stands right now, we will have:
1 x 14-lap Qualifier Session
1 x 16 Lap “first-to-cross-finish line” Race - Grid Start
1 x 16-lap “first-to-cross-finish line” Race (Inverse grid start) Means slower cars up front.
All races will be held in Speed 1 which is never offered for regular carting and reserved for regular league members only, which none of us are.
Depending on the numbers, we are trying to get a lower price and/or an extra practice session.
Start time 8pm.
This is a lot of fun. you dont want to miss this.
I am in + 4.

Sigh. I was just about to sign up for Thursday. But I'll make it out to the others as long as the weather is okay. Anyone else from KW area interested that would be willing to car pool?

With just a week to go, our first Rennlist Canada Race League still has plenty of availability. If you haven't signed up yet, you should. Unlike a regular go karting day we held a few winters back, this event is more competition oriented with qualifying session and proper race grid start. And to top it all off this will be held in speed 1, which is never offered on regular go karting days.
If you did register to attend and your plans have changed please PM myself or Chris as I have left my credit card as a deposit and we need to ensure we have enough participants, which we do based on prior registrations.
Looking forward to next Wednesday.

Sounds like an unbelievably good time!! I think I could make all the remaining days if there is room. I've never karted before. Is experience needed? How bout gear? I have a helmet and shoes from my DE days. Would I need anything else?

No experience is needed at all - you'll get the hang of it within the first lap. No gear is needed - they provide helmets, but you're welcome to bring your own. I do. And yes, there's still room!
