Default Interesting replacement engine in 930

A 930 was used during the development stages during the engine mapping verification of the TAG Formula one turbo engine. The car still exists at McLaren. Apparently there are no external differences to the body. Possible clue that car is special (other than disappears in distance like a scalded cat) could be a lot of flames on throttle overruns!

Mother of god!

That is simply amazing.

Any ideas on what transmission they used?

Why isn't Honda doing something similar with the current F1 program? I understand that the FIA limits testing by controlling the ECU allocations. But doesn't McLaren produce the ECUs? I'm sure Mr. Dennis knows a thing or two about cheating.
