I am going with the 912. Not planning to win the first time, but rather learn what needs to be done to make the car more correct.

The parking has been addressed. Last time we were there - two years ago - a lot people decided to park on the side of Guelph Line which is dangerous, especially performing parallel parking manoeuvres while traffic is zipping by at 90 kilometres an hour. We did have parking then but we have arranged for more this time: almost 40 spots out front of the restaurant on asphalt, plus two more areas on grass totalling nearly 60 spots. HOWEVER, with the super-low entry fee of just 20 bucks at the gate (no pre-registration) I would urge everyone to just register and participate and place their cars with others of the same type and era. The give-aways alone are worth more than the 20 dollars. Cheers, Kye.

If the weather is good I plan to go. Maybe I'll anti-up and try the full concours. That will keep my detailer busy on Saturday!

Why not. I'm pretty sure that If you enter the best stereo competition, you have a very good chance of winning....

see you guys there. I am hoping to bring the family. I will be a judge so bribes are being accepted in advance...
btw if you like stereos ask to hear the system in my car.
If you plan to enter the judged class, be sure to prep your car, remove any loose items and arrive before 9am. Only 5 cars being accepted in each of the 3 classes. I also will be avail to do any appraisals...ask for my Rennlist special pricing.
I hope it doesn't rain but it it does check the UCR website for info.

decided to park on Guelph line ? ..from what I remember the 30 or so spots in front of the restaurant filled in half an hour and the rest were told to park on Guelph line is the grass was reserved for entrants to the concours. this lead to many many cars having to park on Guelph line gravel with cars and trucks hurtling by.

I hope this is all sorted this year

as Kye said above there are at least 60 spots for parking if you don't bring your Porsche or don't want to spend $20. This event is not for profit so if extra money it will go towards next years event or to a charity btw.

Hey Danny just so everyone on here is clear ( as Guelph line can be a bit of a nightmare ) when that front parking lot fills up will there be directions on where to park ?

Just trying to avoid the parking on the road thing. I wont have my 911 there so will park on Guelph line no problem.

Hi Everyone - yes, the parking has been sorted for this year and there will be large signs at the side of the road as well as volunteers to direct people. There will actually be close to 100 parking spots - nearly 40 in front of the restaurant on asphalt, about 30 on the same grassy field the cars were displayed on two years ago, since we are moving more of the Concours cars onto the lawns around the pond, plus there are another 30 spots on the grassy property adjacent to the venue to the north. In other words, all parking will be on the west side and if one area is filled up, we'll indicate it on the sign. Two years ago, the owner at that time was going to look after additional parking at surrounding properties but then, on the morning of, informed us that he had not done so.
Hope to see many of you there and that you'll consider participating!
