I didn't ask the guy what other cars he has but if I see him again I will. If I was going to dedicate 5 million dollars to start a car collection the Singer still wouldn't be on my list. I see it as a bespoke Frankenstein. To me it's not really a Porsche. A pristine 1973 2.7 RS is a far nicer car for the same price (IMHO). Jerry Seinfeld has a 2.7 in his collection of roughly 45 Porsches.......no Singer. It's a collection of marvelous parts but the whole is just not my cup of tea.

if it's going to the Saputo family -- that family is worth $5 billion (and he is known as a collection of 80s era Porsches)

No, like the guy named "Saturn" who organizes meets and drives for exotics of all kinds, usually in the Toronto area.

I'd be all over a Singer, if only he'd consent to making me a Cabrio...and if I had US$390,000 burning a hole in my pocket.
I heard Singer is working on a speedster model

Default Porsche 911 Targa by Singer

Here it is folks.

From the article:
The liquid-pewter beauty makes its debutant turn tomorrow at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. We sat down with Singer founder, Rob Dickinson, to pick his brain about the new Targa, where his love of Porsches started, and about the punk-rock car company he's building in SoCal.

If you want the latest and greatest car that stops traffic then a Singer is probably not for you. Personally I love the fact that 99% of the people that see this car wouldn't know that it was worth close to a mill CAD.

With regards to how Singer names their cars, not all cars are named after the city in which the cars reside. I saw cars "Dubai" and "Indonesia" at a Cars N Coffee event in the Northeast US. So who knows if this car is going to Montreal or not.
