I actually like this more then the current 991. Looks like it is getting its hips back with that gentle slope back down and not the just large bulbous ones. The front is a lot nicer. Not a fan of the air intakes on the tails wing. Maybe this is a special retro edition. Honestly think this looks like a modernized C4S widebody which to me is the best looking water cooled body style ever.

Porsche does a great job covering up key styling cues on their test mules. But from the generally styling it does look like Porsche went back towards the classic 911 shape. I think it looks awesome and love the center exhaust.

Like the lines and hips, exhaust looks funny, and decklid grill vent should be horizontal not longitudinal...

Front lower intakes look funny too. Not sure how I feel yet...

I find the front chin spoiler and grille a little 'busy'. I also agree with Jonathon about the rear grill direction.

I like the centre exhaust but I agree front is a bit busy.

I'm totally digging it...Ok, maybe the exhaust will take me some time to get used to, but the rest of it is pretty sweet. I agree that it's a nice throwback to the classic 911s. Strange that Porsche let these cars loose without much camo/cover. Leads me to believe that the actual production cars will still have some slight differences ~ namely the rear grille treatment?

Any word or prediction on transmission choices? Hopefully they'll offer 3 pedals so I can buy an off-lease in 5 years.

Will have to reserved judgement till I see it in person, but feel the designers were inspired by the predator. I am not a fan of the intakes.

Still feel this is the best looking front end of on the 991:

for some feeling it seems to me that the design almost is looking backwards, more rough around the edges and less modern. when i saw the new rear tails with a larger shape first thing i thought of was 997.2->997.1 backwards transformation.

it may grow on me but for now i don't see how visually it looks more modern, cleaner… the exhaust tips so close together also look very strange as well… re the decklid… WTH… retro doesn't work in this way… the lines just look very off.

only time will tell, but i this may be one of the less liked mid cycle refreshes for the 911.

I agree with most of you. I don’t like the front grill, the muffler tips and the engine grill... well all the major physical changes...

What I like, like for the 991, are the rear brake lights, which give a modern look.

Maybe in person it looks better. Looking forward to see it!
