Wow...didn't think at this price there are not takers. Perhaps I should wait till spring and sell it for more. LOL

FWIW, I had a convertible BMW listed in auto trader at wholesale price (maybe even a bit under) and I had precisely 2 bites on it. I decided to hang onto it until spring and sell it then at a proper price. It's the worst time of year to sell a sports car, especially with how early and strong winter has come in this year.

Hang on if you can. Start advertising it in March. Someone with the sports car bug will snap your car up at that price.

You'll probably have to give it away for much less, Many of my friends trying to sell there 996's for what they are really worth. Would never even consider to sell at the price your listing, they want much more. I personally have held on to my 02 C4S because it's not worth me selling. Offered 23k on trade in and almost went for it but I didn't need the money that bad. That was 2 years ago and I probably wouldn't get even 20 now. These 966's are worth more if it totaled then what buyers would pay for it. That just my opinion I don't try to sugar coat it. I should instead have bought a 964 or 993 back when I bought my 996 at 135k.

Try to make it work, maybe try selling it in a market where Porsche values are much higher and their $ is worth more then ours.
Maybe another option is to sell it to a lease company and then lease it back at a much more manageable payment.

Jake... to help you keep your car, please let us know your profession or type of job you are looking for... ya never know how one may be able to help. Because I asked, your not breaking any rules! ;-)

Second, I have been watching the prices of 2001-2004 996s closely for over 2 years. Your car is priced very well, but most buyers do not appreciate the time and value you have put into the car. I can't buy a Porsche right now for a few reasons, but if I could, this is the first car I would be looking at... and I can confidently say that I watch the 996 market in Canada very closely. In the last few months, there have been many cars come up for sale, but not many are moving. So don't feel bad!

One suggestion is to remove the graphics if possible... some people may be turned off by them, and not many people are going to buy the car because of the graphics... so they are not benefiting you at this point.

I would have to agree that the side graphics is not to everyone's taste.

I am in the "don't like it" camp.

I am sooo very tempted to purchase a 996/996TT/996C4S at the moment because of the attractive prices.....but given the holiday spending.....cannot justify it at the moment.

Come spring, I am sure this will be snapped up real quick

Thanks again for all the kinds words and feedback. Trying to sell my P car is like looking for employment...no freaking luck. :-)
The Graphics is just a decal...it comes right of...hope potential buyer realizes that and can see past that.

What are the ramifications, tax, registration, etc, if any, of importing this car into the USA?

Selling now will be tough but just think about how much fun you will have looking for the next Porsche when the time is right.
