Default Fabspeed x pipe..how loud?

Hi, I just ordered a set of Fabspeed maxflo side mufflers for my 991 C2, non S, non PSE. really not looking for HP gains things like that, just wanted a bit better sound.
The sides can be combined with a centre muffler bypass x-pipe but I am afraid that it will be too loud.

1) I was wondering anyone just has their side mufflers on and could comment on the loudness and quality of sound compared to OEM?
2) Or someone with both Fabspeed side mufflers and the x pipe and could comment?

Again just looking for an improvement in sound without being too loud. Hard to judge by just hearing all the youtube videos out there..
many thanks in advance!

Isn't it easier to put in the x pipe and leave the mufflers? Its cheaper and if you want even more sound you can change the mufflers after.

Hi Bacura,
You are spot on. I was thinking about originally. But the issue is that if the X pipe is too loud for me that there is no way back. Going with the side cans first, may get me there. if not, I can add the x pipe later.
I know the trial and error is very expensive way to go, therefore I was hoping any owner could comment on this or I can hear it in person from any one in GTA that would be awesome.

You should come to the saturday morning cars and coffee. Various exhausts to be heard and many people with lots of knowledge.

I have fabspeed mufflers plus xpipe 200 cell cats. It is not noticeable much louder then with the regular cats. Just slightly sweeter sound when rpm goes from 1000-3500.

Now if your going with the xpipe the ones that have no cats, it will be much louder. A buddy has this setup with PSE and the difference with the switch off/on it very loud, to very very annoyingly loud.

Hi jumper5836,
That is what I am scared about.
But I thought the x pipe replaces the OEM PSE (centre muffler with valves) and the button will no longer be working

Tallguy,

The side mufflers do not make a major change in sound level when used with the OEM non-PSE center muffler. The side mufflers only make a real sound level increase when used in conjunction with the center muffler bypass.
