Default Winter Storage - too soon?

So, I'm not planning on storing my car away just yet - but I'd like to know what the best way to source these items is - in the GTA

- trickle charger
- car cover
- tire cradles or just buy cheaper foam/rubber from home depot?

Porsche Oakville has a cover, charger and car care kit for $600 - I'm pretty sure just a cover and charger can be half that.

Appreciate any suggestions.

Probably Canadian Tire/Partsource or NAPA is your best bet...
IMO, If you don't 'need' a car cover, don't use one...if you do, get one that fits right.
The Porsche Oakville deal actually isn't that bad, assuming everything is high-quality.
Cheers,
Rob

The OEM charger is made by CTEK (not GTEK). Crappy Tire used to stock these but no longer. I think I have seen them at Princess Auto, however.

Ctek for sure! I bought direct and picked up in the US couple years back. They run promos once and a while.

Any cheap car cover will do just to keep the dust off, if you are storing it out of the wind. If you are storing it outside where there is possible winds then you have to use a fitted cover like the OEM cover Porsche sells.

Don't waste your money on tire cradles. Just over inflate your tires to 55-58 PSI (check manual for exact number).

If you want, roll the car by hand the first Saturday of each month several inches.

Any flatspotting is easily reversed in the spring once the tires heat cycle.

Storage? What is this storage you speak of. Roads dry during the winter. Your car has a heater. Drive it when you can. If not, I have never had an issue EVER not using a car for six months. Cover if you worry about dust.

I just use an average CTC battery charger. Worked fine the last 4 years and past 20 years on my snowmobiles.
Oh and I've never over inflated my tires.
I figure, it's rubber and with temperatures, will expand and contract naturally.
I'm more concerned about parking directly on concrete which can dry out rubber.
