Default OT: For those who drive in Toronto careful with this undercover police car.

I just saw minutes ago a golden Dodge Grand Caravan close to downtown, 2 police officers inside, the car is exactly like the one in the picture, the difference it's a small radar with a shape of a mushroom (I think that's a radar) on the back of the minivan and a medium antenna.

The plates where BFPL 807.

Careful out there guys.

If you check out the plate number as you're blowing by ... too late ..

We have a couple in town too..dark ones and the red/blue lights are built into the back up lights. You can tell till he lights em up .. then you can definitely tell... that is some cool technology.

We also can't know that this vehicle is being used for HTA violations exclusively. It may well be that it is used for other under cover activity in addition to what you *think* its used for. Listing the plate here is not a wise thing to do - not to mention as Clive says, by the time you see it - its too late anyway.

Vancouver has all sorts of stealthy police vehicles. Honda Odysseys and Toyota Camrys can be quite a surprise.

I saw a white Ford F150 police vehicle with all the flashing lights pull someone over on my way back from Quebec City last Winter, just as i was crossing Trois Rivieres on Autoroute 40

Now, that is playing dirty ...

Cheers

Watch out in Halton, they are on a rampage lately. No where is safe. Minivans, and other stealth vehicles everywhere. Three traps just this morning on hwy 5.

About the plate his right, but you never know. I think it could be primarily used for trafic because the 2 police officers we using the police uniform, I think when it's undercover they don't use their uniforms and a radar on the roof.

Montreal isn't too bad with "undercover" cars however off island it's ridiculous.. It seems the entire police motorcade in Laval/Boisbriand/Brossard is made up of unidentified cars. However for the most part the pool of cars of shallow , I just keep an eye out for Chrysler's or higher ride height Ford Taurus'.

I think it's pretty safe to say the standard issue interceptor and Crown Vic have been pretty much gone since the Spice Girls. As far back as the early 90's I can remember the Toronto force was introducing Mustangs and Camaros to the DVP/Gardner run. Now, it's all about stealth.

Never saw any police Mustangs in Toronto, but I have seen the Z-28 Camaro, there were two of them, apparently one got crashed by a Metro Constable, and they end up pulling the other one off the road too.

Lots of new Ford Taurus unmarked cars these days too plus the Dodge Chargers, most of them have hockey puck antennas, Halton one I saw yesterday had one on the roof and two on the trunk lid, plus a short whip antenna.

Yes! You're right, I remember seeing the Camaros a few times while living in the beaches area and the Mustangs were OPP. I guess they're still using them as Interceptors.Name: OPP Interceptor.jpg
