Anyone have exp running these sized tires?
Looking at getting new rubber, my old rubber was the Hankook v12 245 fronts /295 rears. Hated these tires way too soft sidewalls. I'm looking at getting 245/40/18 fronts and 315/30/18 for rears. Has anyone had exp using this size combo on their 996TT? And I'm going with the BFG gforce Rivals. Everyone I know running them or ran them love them.

Lot of people running GT2 spec sizes and wheel offsets with no problem. Don't think the rears would work on 996tt stock wheels if you are lowered, when I tried the shop didn't want to do it.

Zookie you're correct a 235 would be a better match diameter wise 25.4" front 25.5 rear" (0.3% difference) as opposed to 25.7" front, 25.5" rear (1% difference). I wanted to go for a wider tire up front (245) to help with the under steer. I feel that a 235 with a 315 rear would "push" the car too much on turns, esp with the awd.

Hey Zookie, ya thats prob me at the tims by heartland, I believe we have a mutual friend (Krystyn). Currently I have 245/295 and just under 3.0* of camber up front so I should be good for camber. Unfortunately much like the Subaru's (my old car) I find under steer is a common issue with the McPherson strut design. But you are right more camber will help. I just wanted to keep the 245 up front since I will be stepping up to the 315. The 245/295 is a great combo for balance. Funny thing is, it took me about 3yrs to finally fine tune my old Subaru's suspension to be as neutral as possible then I sold the car hahaha. Now all that I've learned from that car barely applies to the turbo. I wonder if i can just apply what i know and just reverse it, since the motor is now in the back lol.
