OBD-1 Car drive clean scheduled for tomorrow - advice?
I have a '91 964 Cabrio that still requires the drive clean testing. Over the winter, the battery was on trickle, but a power failure caused it to reset and I had a full battery drain.
Is there a process I should run through to reset the motronic for emissions? Perhaps just a nice 30 minute spirited drive??

Generic Drive Cycle:
Before doing this some tips
Gas tank should be one-quarter to three-quarters full. This is recommend because some evap sensors don't read right when full or empty.
Driver should avoid rapid acceleration. Stay under 5000 rpm. So no spirited driving.
Cold Start - Make sure the vehicle has been parked eight hours without a start.
Start the engine and let it idle in “Drive” for two-and-a-half minutes with the air conditioner and rear defroster on.
Turn the air-con and rear defroster off. Drive the vehicle for 10 minutes at highway speeds.
Drive the vehicle for 20 minutes in stop-and-go traffic.

I am not sure you need to do 10 and 20 min but that is what is recommended. I have an ODB reader that shows if it monitors are ready or not and and errors. I was able to ready my car up just idling and moving the car out of the driveway but I have a 2001.

You shouldn't have an issue after taking it for a spirited drive and getting it nice and warm while taking through the rev range. DME will reset itself after about 30 mins.
Do you have any lights on the dashboard? The tech will get a bit freaky about it - they are idiots and think everything is a "check engine light". I had to explain that no, the exclamation mark on the dash is because the handbrake is on.
This was my first year running the "new" drive clean test. They stick the sniffer on the tail pipe and rev the engine. Mine passed with flying colours.

its OBD 1 so no Big deal .
I would just do the oil change before doing this , so you are not burning dirty oil if you are burning any a all that might trip the sniffer, Make sure it is fully warmed up and the cats are nice and hot . A good tech might take it for a drive to warm it up anyway.
Of course make sure you have a clean air filter.

I wouldn't let a tech drive my car. I didn't even let him drive it in to the testing bay. I could just see a co-op student/car jockey frying my RS clutch and flywheel while trying to "find" reverse.
