Yep, the OP goes through at least 2 p-cars per year and many of them are new/newer. I can't imagine how much money he has lost in taxes etc But hey, it you've got it, spend it!!! Enjoy the tippy, I nearly bought that car when it was for sale early last year.

Oops! I seem to have let the cat out of the bag but in all honesty the 993 Turquise Blue Coupe (albeit 18 years old) will not depreciate like a 911-50th! 993's in all forms except cabs are all appreciating! And appreciating at a rapid rate by the looks of it....

The 911-50th is only losing 15% a year like every other 991. I've priced out new 991's under lease and on a 2014 car for 48 months Porsche says it will be worth $56,900 at the end! Half its value gone in 4 years....ouch.

I started buying decent cars since I'm 25,Im now 61.
Besides all the Ps which are my favourite sports cars, I've owned almost everything but Lambo's and Maserati's. The Porsches were always good to me and very reliable. Had I known in the old days what some cars would be worth today, certainly would have kept a few.

No one would argue that new, expensive cars depreciate. New Porsches are bad investments. Used cars have already depreciated. I guess the OP made the decision as a business decision......although one could argue that buying a new 911/50 as well as 60 other Porsches constitutes a good business decision. I am a rank amateur. I have only had 4 new Porsches. At no time was I delusional enough to think....... Wow, what a good investment. I bought it for me. I would have assumed the OP did the same. I was wrong.

Default C2S

Wanted: Mint 993 wide-body coupe with less than 35,000 miles. Also need a set of black 993 Hard Back sport seats. Thanks!

I had a WB C2S in Black w hardback Cashmere seats and shouldn't have sold it. Prices are even more ridiculus than before.

I can vouch for the seller. I have purchased from him before and he has been more than fair. Cares for his cars so someone will be getting a gem here.

Best of luck! The 911 50th is a beauty....love the colour you chose as well!

don't forget that 57k is the lease residual, which is normally 65% of market value since the dealerships make sure you overpay for depreciation during the lease term.

after the lease is up, they sell car (with 57k lease-residual value) likely for high 70s, low 80s.

Farfelc2S - you should really post your car in the Vehicle Marketplace and Members Classified section.

You might get some American's looking there plus I know a bunch of us fellow canucks look there too. I feel the Canadian Section alone is too small a community to market to.

I know how you feel on 993 prices...I kinda regret selling this bad boy:

I bought the wheels from this car, and they were perfect, perfect, perfect. I have no doubt that the 50th is what he says it is, and yes, he has great taste in cars!

The US market is huge, making it easy to buy from. When it comes to exporting they usually don't get it. I have to lower the price because of lousy exchange rate and the Cdns want to pay that price in our money.
Not desperate, season very close when people get the fever to buy Sportscars and mine is very hard to find.

Will your dealership buy it back from you? Then they car CPO it and turn a profit.
