Default body work?

the rear bumper passenger side of my 2008 cayman s has a small crack in it, not sure how it got there. I got a quote from Pfaff Auto Works but it's rather high. Anybody here have someone they trust who can repair this for me in the GTA?

Plastic repair from the inside?

I would sand the bumper on the reverse side, maybe with 120-320 grit, just to rough up the inside surface. There are flexible epoxy repairs, and a bit of fibreglass weave and it will prevent it from getting bigger, and strengthen the area with the crack. under $20 body shop section of Cdn Tire.

For repair. It's actually a bit more.... That's why I am asking my Porsche brethren here for suggestions for someone else to do the work or other ideas?

you can take to a bodywork shop, they can weld that and paint, easily. and probably for 1/3 of the price

I think you may have be a quoted for the repair and complete bumper repaint. You might try to ask Pfaff to re-quote you to repair the crack and just blow-in the repaired area to the nearest edges/lines and polish the blend edges. The Pfaff crew is fantastic at invisible blending techniques.

I can do it for $200 on the weekend cash. If your car is that dirty, no one is going to notice :-)

Just kidding.

Don't worry. Your next stone chip or dent will be easier to take. Enjoy the car.

Car is clean now. Gave her a good wash If you think my car is dirty you should see my motorcycle. Rode her for 1.5 hours yesterday. Holy salt stains! But man was it good to get out on the bike after 4 months of no riding.
