Default Track time around Toronto

Putting together my summer schedule. Have signed up for 4 PCA/UCR events but would love to get a lot more track time than that. I just learned about the open track Friday nights at Cayuga which sound like fun. Any other ideas where I can log some more time this year?

One question, does Canadian Tire Motorsport has track days during the year?

The track does not offer them directly the way that some tracks do: instead, a number of local clubs (such as PCA, BMWCCA, 6th Gear, Gerry Low and several others) will rent CTMP for a day or a weekend and split the cost among attendees. This can range from $150-600 per day, depending on the organization, and which organizations give better value is a matter of personal opinion.

To the OP, don't limit yourself to Toronto! Watkins Glen is one of the most beautiful tracks in the world, and it's not that far to go for a weekend. A lot of UCR members make the trip down for the Zone 1 48H, and it's a fantastic event.

Big +1 on that! About 5 hours and a beautiful drive to boot! I'm going down June 6, 7 & 8. Can hardly wait!

Shannonville has open track times. It's a bit of a drive but worth it. I know the high hp car owners don't like going there.

^yup, open lapping means OPEN lapping. Generally really good, but have had the odd driver going a bit over the top--was asked by the owner to give some instruction laps to a few of the new guys to 'cool' them down a bit

I wonder if people will be renting the new development track at Mosport?
I'm looking forward to the UCR IDS days there in April to check it out.

TMP (Cayuga) also has open lapping days on Mondays. Gerry Low looks after these. You can drive all day for 200.00, and often you are the only car on the track.

If you are looking for something with a more seasoned pool of drivers, Engineered Automotive hosts a day a month at Mosport

This site is handy as it has a schedule of track days at various ontario tracks by many of the major clubs. http://www.torontotrackdays.com/
