Default Worlds craziest roads.

I would think only some would be on anyone's bucket list.

The death road in Bolivia might all you'd ever need. The best roads i've experienced were in the south of France, hairpins galore. I was driving a rental Renault 5 and kept thinking a Porsche would be nice right about now. The roads were often only wide enough for one vehicle and every few hundred metres there were small widenings to allow oncoming to pass. My wife to be at the time got to hate it because she was always on the side with the view of the drop offs and with only a curb and no safety railings I could understand the problem. I'd love to go back and do it over again. Here's the map. Started at Monaco and drove up to Castillon for an overnight, then to Sospel and north from there and finally back to Nice. Here's a map.

Did you get a chance to complete the Col de Turini? It is considered to be the most deadly section of the Monte Carlo Rally.
I was lucky to get a chance to drive it in a Seat Leon 2.0TDI Quatro. Going up, the two women in the back were begging for mercy, while my friend and I took turns through the hairpins. Coming down, was the one of the most beautiful landscapes I had seen, driving through the bottom of the gorge along a river with none around was spectacular.

Thanks Stan, That jogged my memory, yes I drove the Col de Turini. I was the slowest car on the road too. The turns are nuts, full lock left, then right. On the short straights i was constantly being passed by persons with obvious suicidal tendencies. I pucker now just thinking about it. Here's a Utube I found that gives a feel for it. I would go back for that road alone.

Or this one.

These videos bring back awesome memories. Thanks Jim.
Unfortunately, once you've been on a road like this one, there is no road around here that comes remotely close to that level of excitement. I must make it to the Tail of The Dragon at least this year. I spent two days in that area in Oct 2010 on the way to Petit Le Mans. At one point my wife started feeling nauseous from the switchbacks and a minute later I had to pull over to let her empty her stomach.
She didn't enjoy that trip as much as I did.
