Default OT: Headphone find

Been searching for mid-level, affordable, good sounding set of IEM's.

Noticed these on the Futureshop boxing day sale and got them delivered today. For $100 they are adequate - for $40? UN-beatable! (they also have a mic - for use with your smart phone - which is a plus for me - means only one pair to take on the road)

As an audiophile - I'm pretty picky and have have heard a few $500 pairs of headphones - which slay these - of course - but these are entirely satisfactory, and on some tracks surprisingly detailed, a nice discovery at this crazy low price point.

No affiliation - just hoping this might help someone who's also looking.

Also give them a bit of burn in - they are sounding better after an hour's listening already.

Also remember that fit is critical to bass response - the mid-sized ear pads were too big for me - the smalls allowed a tighter fit and therefor better bass response and resolution.

Happy Newy year's to all!

I have Sennheiser earbuds and headphones, both of which are amazing. I accidentally ran the earbuds through the washer and dryer because I forgot to take them out of my pocket one day after going to the gym. They sound no worse for wear.

Just bought a pair of PSB headphones as well, on sale for $200 so I couldn't resist. I'm a huge fan of their speakers so I had to try out their headphones.

I've been using Shure in-ear for years. Currently have a set SE215s. They are occasionally on sale at Canada Computers for less than $100. Amazon has them too. Don't let the price fool you. These have big sound and are exceptional. You can test drive them anytime you like.
