Well I got my wife and kids tickets to fly to Bogota tomorrow to spend some time with her family. Purchased them back in November.

Well I went to look at the email about an hour ago and I really screwed up and had them flying from Bogota to Toronto tomorrow. Doh!

Long story short Air Canada wanted $4600 to fix the flights in the correct direction, I said no way, they came down to $1700 and I had to cancel the flights. This was on top of the $2300 I had already payed.

I took the $600 cancellation hit ($200 per passenger) and booked them on Jet Blue out of Buffalo on Sunday for $2500. So a nice $800 mistake on my part.

But the silver lining is I get hang with my wife and kids for a few more days while I'm off from work.

And I got her a new iPhone.

She thought I was playing a joke on her with the flights as bags are packed.

Next time I will pay closer attention when booking flights on-line.

Now time for a drink.
