Emissions Test
Yank it out with pliers...and if you hear "sssss"....plug the dam thing on the spot. I just did this the other night. I did it at the gas station near an air hose of course because I already suspected it was punctured. Plugging is tough...but satisfying. Doesn't harm the integrity of the tire at all. My best friend showed me how to do it years ago. I did it on my heavy duty truck one time out in the boonies. I was driving 115 last night, and didn't notice anything wrong with the tire at all since I plugged it.
But this was a Freddy Krugar 1" slice so tire was scrap.
My Emissions Test is due 3/2014
But my car is an odd # year - 97.
Because it is Pre 98 - IT is ok to test before Winter Expiry.
FYI - My car has a CEL Light -(Vacuum Leek- SAI) And It Passed.
