So its Thanksgiving and all the stores are closed, ... just when I need some JB Weld to patch a pin hole in a steel coolant pipe on my wife's minivan.. We need to take our daughter back to London, but cannot with this pinhole leak... Also, I can't get a new pipe until Wednesday... so I need to patch it

Anyone in Toronto have some JB Weld or other two part epoxy for metal parts?

I have some, but not exactly right around the corner from you.

Try a gas station with a convenience store - I've seen it or similar in those kinds of places before.

Get a piece of hose, cut it open and put it over the hole THEN clamp it with a hose clamp. Make sure if you are only using one clamp, the clamp is over the pin hole. This worked on my power steering line that had 1500psi. Should be a cakewalk for the 15 or so psi a coolant line sees.

Hi, thx everyone for the offers and ideas. Unfortunately the hole was at the corner of the flange and pipe, so it was not possible to clamp into that corner... Anyway, I was lucky to get a call from a member who was only 0.5km away.

The JB Weld is curing now, so in the morning we'll see if the mini freezer goes in the minivan or the Porsche.... lol.
