any more details on what the ppi showed? how is the service history?
I like those 10+ and more were obviously eyeing the car. It ticks(like most do. theres a video on youtube) and looked like it smoked a bit....
would love more details on it if youd like to share. Congrats on your sniping abilities.

Finally I've had the opportunity to get back on here!
I didn't get the chance to do too many km on the car before it was stored for the winter but it's been great. So I know that the car was serviced by Engineered Automotive for at least the last half of its life, and they told me some of the recent work done to the car from the PO.
Since I've got it in my possession, I did have to do the alternator as the bearing was beginning to seize. And I've now changed all the oils and coolant as well. In regards to the smoke visible on that youtube video, occasionally it does puff some smoke on start-up, but that appears to be normal, and the oil consumption is well within the standard range. Engine runs great, and certainly pulls hard. I did experience what I think was the 2nd gear pop-out once, but that could have been my fault.
I had sent the car to Phaff to do a PPI, but they told me that they no longer do PPI, and could only do a regular 130-point inspection and scan the computer. I find that a bit weird, but since I had checked out the car myself, I agreed. The car had minimal Overrev 2, so that checked okay.
As far as mods that I have discovered so far:
-PSS10 coilovers
-Upgraded DV
-Miltek Exhaust
-Some type of Tune (1.0Bar)
-Pioneer Nav system
Speedyellow993: You asked me about the VIN, and that is correct.... I see that you had a black 996tt previously, was this your car? I'd love to get some more details about it if so.
I look forward to coming out to any meets in the GTA.

That same dealership had a Seal Grey for sale early in the spring 2013 - 2003 996TT with approx 120,000 kms.
I took a look at the car and the dealership priced the car at $50K but negotiable. Needed a paint job on hood/bumper with all the pebble scratches.
Late spring they offered this car for sale for much less with less km's....What the hell......
That seal grey did sell in the summer.
The 996TT pricing is all over the place but I don't think this price would ever come up again unless many issues need to be addressed with high mealage.
Great find!
Enjoy the car.

Well obviously, this car has some stone chips on the hood and misc. minor scratches. Luckily, it has a clear bra about 1/3 of the way up the hood which has saved from further damage. I've never owned a black car before, and never would I again LOL... Everything is visible!!
