Saw this on sale at CanadianTire. Is it good to read tire temps at the track?

pyrometer will be more accurate but it will work, might catch some of the heat rolling off brakes, exhaust, etc.

check out longacre racing. They usually have some sales on. getting one with the temp probe will be more effective for tyres.

these work well. Pyrometer works better for tires.
these are fun to walk around the house and shoot it at everything and see the temperature difference. Wife doesn't like it when I shoot her with it. they are great for finding heating/cooling issues.
I think princess auto has one for less than $40

I went to go pick it up and found a pockets one in a 3 piece gift set on clearance sale for $33. Comes with a stud finder and moisture detector. Needed a stud finder anyways.

Tried it out on my tires and works good it can tell the difference from inside edge temps vs middle and outer edge temps.
