Should I expect any discounts on new 981 Cayman?
I posted this on Planet 9 too, and the Canadian members said there have not been any wiggle room.
If I pull the trigger, this will be my first NEW Porsche so want to be armed with as much information.
Any input appreciated!
And...recommendation on dealers: Pfaff, DFC, London, Oakville, or Marks?
Cheers!

Can't help with the question on 981 discounts.
However, we have bought two cars from Pfaff (one CPO and one new). I have really liked the service both times and was particularly impressed with how well the CPO car was turned out AFTER I had already inked the deal. I have also been a regular Pfaff customer in the parts department for my 911 project and have had good experiences there.
Our salesperson was John Hulley who was outstanding in every regard. A real gentleman and a very low pressure and pleasant buying experience.
What really seals it for me is that my wife shares my opinion. I am more likley to "go with the flow" when completing a purchase, but my wife is considerably harder to impress in this department and she remains very satisfied with Pfaff too. That said, Pfaff is a pretty big dealership and if you deal with different people, its possible you may have varying degrees of satisfaction. My recommendation: Ask for John and the rest should fall nicely into place.
BTW: The 981 Cayman is brilliant!!

On behalf of the CEO of PNA, you have been given 10% off list. Tell them I told you so.

Not sure about new, but Can honors us CPO on used cars. I had a reman engine put in a car after IMS issue under CPO on a us car.
I wouldn't dream of buying a car in Canada. I ve bought 3 in the US. I just sold one back to the US last month.

Once you add the 6.2% duty on the US price, the difference is marginal. Secondly it is doubtful a US dealer will sell a car that will be registered in Canada.

I was told Saturday by the dealer in Bellevue, Washington that they are not allowed to sell new Porsche's to those of us North of the Border. If you don't have a US driver's license you can't buy new according to them.

although I have not purchased a Porsche from Pfaff, I did purchase an Audi from them. My salesperson at Audi moved over to Pfaff Porsche and my neighbour was the sales manager, but both seem to be gone now.
