Does anybody know if there is a 'correct' way to dispose of a live air bag? I have the original steering wheel and air bag from my recently sold 996 (was replaced with a three-spoke some years back). I don't want to toss it in a dumpster and have some poor waste management dude get the surprise of his life.

I would be more than happy to take it off your hands. My wheel and airbag cover badly needs refinishing.
