I've heard pretty good things about the dealership but can't understand the generally high (maybe even ridiculous?) asking prices:

Granted the car has very low mileage and a "unique" interior but is the Vancouver market really this expensive??

They def charge a premium for their cars, yet they all seem to sell too, which I guess is part of their connections to many repeat customers. They have been around for a long time and people in Van are wiling to pay $ for rare, low mile cars and convenience.

Weissach seeks out rare Porsches from both Canada and the US and inturn, sells across Canada. There are enough "unique" Porsches for them to make a decent profit and stay in business for soooo many years. A great niche....especially for a Canadian company. In Toronto, we have a similar shop named Segalmotors.....but the owner/seller is a douche.

A while back, I was dealing with Asgar Virji (one of the owners of Weissach) when I was looking for a vintage 911. We was extremely helpful, and took a lot of time to educate me on the market. Although I didn't end up getting one from him, he was always extremely helpful, and a couple of my friends in Vancouver are extremely happy with his service.

Based on my experience with Weissach, I would say that they charge a slight premium, but it is completely justifiable by their excellent service.

A lot of buyers in the Vancouver high-end car market aren't exactly "deal shoppers."

I'll leave it at that.

For the most part this seems to be the consensus but this example seems a bit extreme. I would say this is 10k over what I would expect the Weissach premium to be.

Agreed if we're talking a good price on a Rennlist average car. Vancouver + Seattle seem to be always asking 5-10k over this price. In the past year I've only seen a handful of GT3s listed in this area and the lowest price was just under $60k for a track rat with 85k km (52k mi) on it.

I haven't been watching the market that long (15 months or so) so every data point - especially locally - helps illustrate the trends. This seems well outside the norm.

I know. I clicked on the Autotrader ad expecting it to be a great deal on a 997...

Exactly!

Depending on the car they will easily charge more than a slight premium. GT3s, air cooled etc huge premium vs say 997S.

Example 993s they are easily $10-15K above market on average.

Keep in mind asking price and selling price are RARELY the same. The asking price is the price they would LOVE to get and would sell instantly.....

Totally agree if this was private seller or maybe a smaller shop, but chances of getting a significant discount = good market value on their inventory is very unlikely and I've heard from actual buyers.

Realistically you will not be getting a $10K plus discount off that GT3.

While overpriced, clean , low mile, non track 6GT3 are slowly getting harder to find. The last of the non electronic nanny GT3's. Interior is awesome. $60k is more realistic, and would need the right collector buyer, who would not want to track that beauty and pay more.

Had them do my PPI a couple of weeks ago and I can say they are first class all the way. Looked at the car in question as well as the other cars they have and it was in premium condition. Every other car seems to be an exotic in Vancouver so as Viajero stated they want them they buy them. Real good reputation. I know a few other dealers out west are selling Porsche's that Wessiach took on trade but would not sell for various reasons. Private market in Vancouver is lower than them no question.

Now Kai and Robert are first rate guys...always a pleasure chatting with them. Weissach is a well run shop.
