Default Inspection before warranty expires?

Anyone has experience or tips for inspection before warranty expires? My 09' boxster's warranty expires in a month and half.

Is it worth doing? Should I go to dealer or indy? Cost?

The latest warranty repairs and services was done last July at Pfaff.

Any comment is appreciated.

I'd also like to hear from 997.2 owners. My 09 warranty expires tomorrow.

^ little too late. Hope you had the car checked out by a P dealer, usually don't charge if you've been servicing there. Mine expired about two weeks ago.

Car is still at dealer so not really expired until I pick it up. Did anything on yours come up that needed to be replaced? 09? PDK? How many km?

09 PDK 09 Build

Just completed the four yr service with 11k km on her. Service manager said she was "Mint" (made me feel good as he took my money )
They'll usually check thoroughly for you knowing that the warranty is expiring, but no news is good news if you know what I mean.

I looked in Fidelity extended warranty but for the k's I do a year it ain't worth it, also my local P dealer will not deal with the "extended warranty people" they'll do the work, you pay and go after them yourself ( good luck with that one ) so I decided to leave the extended warranty option.

With servicing the car at Porsche if the **** did hit the fan hopefully a good will gesture from Porsche would happen. But to date these cars 997.2 show little problems even on higher mileage cars

i would think it would be an excellent investment to pay for an hour or 2 labor to have the Porsche dealer go over it with a fine tooth comb if it is still under warranty.

Thats just me tho

I had my Boxster checked shortly before the warrantee was due to expire. Dealers won't necessarily fix what they find, but you can turn around and tell them to fix what they found in a new workorder. Convoluted.

I complained about a minor oil leak (wasn't even making it to my garage floor), and with 4 days to go in the warrantee, they replaced the engine. I can't recall what they said the leak was from, but it wasn't the usual suspects.
