I have Kumho Exta SPT's on my Beepster and I have no issues with them. I have driven in -10C temps with a fair amount of grip before I put it away for storage. I like the Kumho's and have had other models on past vehicles. A wrench I know calls them Korean Michelin's ... Next set, if I keep the car will be the 4X version. Looking at selling it and moving to a C4.

Spent 8 years in the tire industry before my current gig. Michelin construction cannot be beat and that reflects directly in the price point. I have test driven almost every brand in various tests over the years and they just plainly standout as constant top performers.

Money well spent IMHO but it really depends on how you use the car on a very regular basis.

There is no question they are superior tires and have the pricepoint to match. But would you buy a racehorse to to do pony rides ? ..

I will also add that i went away from an expensive RE71 ( dating myself i know ) tire to soemeting cheaper as i never track my car and just use it for touring .... i didnt even get home and turned around and took it back and had S02's i think put on... so you may see a difference even though you think you wont ..

For everyday driving I think it is pretty hard to beat the Hankook V12's when you look at the price/wear/performance as a whole. Car and Driver rated as them as good or better in every category from performance wet/dry and noise when compared to the Michelin PS2.
