Wings legal?
Anyone know if rear wings are legal in Canada?
Is there a restriction on size / height etc?
See the link for what I had in mind:

I believe they are legal; however I don't recommend one unless you truly are in need of downforce. Surprisingly the stock 951 rear spoiler I have read is very effective in tests. I assume you are talking about the 951. What type of events are you doing? this is obviously not for street, right? Also not sure how you would attach that wing to a 951, although I have seen similar wings on some heavy duty 951 race cars.

Don't know about legal, but pretty sure you'll want a really good splitter up front lest you want to fly.

Looking for low speed efficiency for autoX / short course events, not high speed full race. This is also a street car.
Everyone's thoughts on the 968 RS type wing? Would this be sufficient / make a difference over stock?
Yes, I am running front splitter, BF wider fender flares and rear diffuser upgrades... now looking at more rear down force, hence the wing.

At auto-X you won't be going fast enough for any aero to really make a difference =/
Short race track i'm assuming you mean like Grand Bend/Cayuga (TMP), yeah it might help you a bit in turn 1 and 2-3.
You talking about this wing? Seems like a reasonable compromise. Adjustable center blade is a useful thing to have.

yeh, exactly... those are the tracks I will be running and that is the 968 RS wing with the adjustable center I had in mind, was thinking the one from D9. Both wings are about the same price but looking at the data the 60" GT wing starts to gain effective DF at speeds as low as 50mph, which I am assuming will be a lower speed and more effective than the 968RS wing.

By simple virtue of its size, I would agree with you. If you're going to get some actual benefit as low as 50MPH, then yeah sure why not run it if you want to go faster. It'll hurt your MPG on the road though lol.

Ha! MPG... I have a GTS with x-pipes and CA-Intakes running on 21's in GTA traffic. On a good day I hit 12 to 14mpg, on a bad day (or a day where I hit the back roads) I get a whopping 7 or 8 mpg!
I am starting to think that MPG stand for 'More Petrol Gulps' as the GTS seems to drink with a mighty thirst.

Wing will make absolutely no diff for what you are trying to do in autocross. I imagine it is moreso for looks
