Read the "when to take the car out of storage?" thread, and thought I'd start one for the folks who drive theirs all year round.
When are you planning to remove your snows? I'm still driving with my snows on, and I plan on using them for a couple of more weeks just in case we get one last blast of snow, but I'd like to get my summers on soon, as I can tell the difference between the tires at the gas pump, and I'm filling up twice a week.
Other than that, I'm happy to report that with a quality snow tire, I survived every snow storm this winter, and never felt a loss of confidence while driving.

my 951 has been on 18" summers for last week or so now, no worries at all about any light snow we might get
just don't be pushing hard through the corners unless you know the road is GOOD to go..

I'd like to change them this weekend, but I don't think I'll get to it. Maybe next weekend.
Right now, the air temp may not be that warm, but the asphalt temp especially during the afternoon commute would probably be ok for All Seasons. This time of year is a compromise. If I can get the winters off early, then I might get another season of good winter driving out of them, and extend their life from 3-4 or 4-5 seasons. My guess is that running Winters for 6 weeks of typical mid March weather is probably the same amount of wear as 12 weeks of January weather.
The all seasons probably have better dry stopping at this time of year than the siped winters.
I run touring type all seasons on my wife's Q7, and 'performance' low All Seasons on my Jetta during the warm months. If we don't get more than a dusting of snow from here on out, I should be good. If we get more, than I'll be late that one trip.

You'd be suprised how well the winters grip in warm weather. Yes they will wear fast but, at the drag strip, they don't call them the poor man's racing slicks for no reason. I ran one of my fastest time in the 928, with a par of worn Blizzaks.

not to be a bummer but every year we get a dump in April![Frown](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
that being said the 951 has r compounds on it and may come out this weekend.
snows staying on A6 and Touareg for next few weeks, we don't put a lot of miles on them anyways.
