Surprises for me are the wide body, four wheel steering and it being heavier than the 991 c2s.

Absolutely gorgeous! I would be a lot more excited if they fitted a proper manual into it, but the numbers are amazing. Can't wait for Chris Harris to get his hands on one.

Technical specs are up on the Porsche Canada website

weight is up from the old GT3 to 3150 lbs

MSRP 148,800

Imagine once you throw in a nav, nose lift and sport chrono. It's an expensive little heavy weight.

With a 100 millisecond reaction time, that is some slush box!
I know, I know, my brain tells me PDK is just magic, but my heart wants a MT.

Four Wheel steering is interesting. This was big in the 90's and i'm surprised it's taken this long for it to re-make an appearance with modern technology.

As for it being heavier...the additional 4-wheel steering stuff that the C2S doesn't have weights a fair bit. I don't see bucket seats as an option on the car yet. Those alone probably save a good 50lbs or so from the eleventymillion-way adjustable couchseats they come with stock and will help equalize things.

Not sure what TINS refers to... but the track is exactly where I would NOT want the PDK. Sure PDK is lightning quick, but we're not racecar drivers trying to find every tenth... the whole point of a trackday is to enjoy these cars. Personally, I get more enjoyment out of making my own shifts - no matter how slow they are!

Porsche isn't about to leave any money on the table. With the 458 Italia selling very well at $300K I'm sure they feel there's plenty of room for the GT cars to grow in price....
