Waiting for the ASL weekend at end of June to open reg.....info page says reg is open but the schedule says "to be announced".

hmm so knowing my lack of abilities I can't foresee more than 180. Is there a place somewhere in NA that you can go fast on a long straight away? Maybe drag racing but the runs seems short. Hitting 280 in a car (my car) is on my bucket list so thats why I am asking. Of course I am sure a stretch of 401 from Chatham to Windsor could do fine. There are people doing 220 with little kids in the back seat on that stretch

This is insane, i checked out centralia I am going to be 1 min away from it tomorrow. What are the odds. Might be something worth checking out in the summer, I think the max in my car will be around 220.

3.4L 996 is rated around 280 km/h for top speed. It's just a question of having enough pavement to find it.

yes thats what I meant, not enough pavement in centralia, for bowmanville you need a cage. I think I will just go to europe buy a 996 drive it for few weeks around europe and resell it at a loss. It would still be cheaper than renting one.

I have rented at different times a 997 4S Cab and 4S Coupe, base 991 Cab and 991S Coupe in Germany. Cost is about Euro 200 per day but only 200km included. 1 Euro per KM after the 200. They came from AVIS in Stuttgart but I understand AVIS has them at most of the big cities in Germany.
