Clueless drivers on our streets
On my way home about 6pm tonight, a woman in a Corolla pulled up behind me with high beams on, we came to a stop at a red light, I knew there is enough time before the light turned green so I got out and walked back to point out the bright blue high beam indicator light on her instument panel, then asked her please turn off the high beam because it is blinding everyone in front of her.
Her response was priceless: "But it is snowing!!"
She did turn off the high beam at that point though, I must have been shaking my head in disbelief as I walked back to my car.......

LOL that's classic!
I had a woman a few weeks ago pull up next to me at a red light, trouble was she was in the on-coming traffic lane. I wound my window down and shouted at her and beeped my horn to try warn her but couldn't get here to turn her head.
The priceless moment came when she pulled out in front of on coming traffic nearly causing an accident and when a guy beeped at her she looked right at him, shot him the dirtiest look and flipped him off and shook her head! LOL yikes! Clueless.

Defensive driving is the only way. Some of the stuff out there is appalling at best, that includes all road users.

You should have stopped the story after woman in a Corolla.
Biege/silver Corollas are a scourge on our driving landscape. Driven by incompetent nincompoops. If there is ever a slow down or someone doing the wrong speed in the left lane - dollars to donuts - it's a Corolla. The bane of Porsche drivers everywhere.
Keep a watch out. I'm right.

Not to sound holier-than-thou, but I strongly suspect that anyone who chooses to drive a Corolla despises driving; and such people should be relegated to using public transit in order to free up valuable road space for those of us who actually enjoy driving.
IMHO, Corollas are to driving as McDonalds is to food: sure they are hugely popular, but are quite dreadful. And do they ever clog up the arteries!

Time for me to chime in
Why is everyone hating on the corolla? Really, it's a great reliable car. It gets me from point A to B just fine and it's built locally.
Funny thing is when I bought the car i actually refused to get white, silver, or beige to avoid this stereotype. If you notice my tint is fairly dark too. Coincidence, I think not. Look at how "Sporty" it looks.

The comment wasn't to disparage the car, only a stereotypical driver. For good defence drive a large vehicle, although even my super sized van can't defend against drivers merging from the acceleration lane without looking. It's happened several times and I don't get it, some drivers are oblivious, of course yakking on a phone or being social with passengers explains a lot. Good reason for a really loud horn.

Gotta stick up for the Cambridge built corolla Clive . I think Toyota has always been viewed as a bland looking car with poor performance. Over the years they have done much better with the design of there vehicles (imho) but have always targeted an older buyer. The scion line up shouldl fill the void for the younger buyer.

My experience indicates that the worst drivers on the road drive pickups trucks, followed by BMWs. I just notice that whenever I see someone doing something idiotic, more often than not it's one of those 2.
