Default Where to buy parts

Fairly new to Porsches, and for the most part I'm a diy'er. Wondering what the good sites are, or where the retailers are for parts, where I don't need to sell limbs in order to afford. Preferably on this side of the border.

Have you checked out Porsche of London? prices are actually pretty fair, Brad the Parts Manager is great guy to deal with, I've bought most of my Porsche parts through them lately, spend a few extra bucks and support local...Pelican, Paragon, FCP, Rockauto are also a few good (mostly) aftermarket sources but in USA, Altrom is local and has some parts available as well...Randy at Whaletail is good for used 'hard' parts, good guy as well

There's an over abundance of on line mod part suppliers.
But actual parts, you can try places like Suncoast, Vertex, Nineapart, Ecklers Automotion, etc.

It depends on the parts. Shop around to find the price that works for you. I agree the local dealer is great to deal with and I like to support local business, but some parts prices are astronomical. (wiper blades, AC belt) You are only one hour from Port Huron where most stores can ship fast and cheap. Look through the 964 forum to find out where other owners are shopping.
I'm in London so if you want help with your new 964, PM me. I've needed lots of parts.

You can save yourself a lot of money if you shop stateside. Even with shipping and duty. Pelican is good for price check, but tend to be expensive these days. Another 964 owner and I have had very good service and pricing from Mike at 5150 Motorsports in California.

I think Bottom line you are going to find best deals are out of the US and just about all on line places ship to the lower 48 for free over a minimum amount. I like to support local when i can but when i can get the stuff for about half price, and that is after i pay taxes at the border on the US value converted to Canadian it is just too much of a deal to resist.

Thanks for the input guys.. From searching around, within Canada autopartsway.ca and pcarspecialist.ca seems to have the best pricing this side of the border.. And autohausaz.com stateside.. This is just looking at online retailers.

There is a thread on here about autopartsway.ca. Have a read of it before you order.

autopartsway doesn't even have good prices...if cheap is the word try Rockauto....Pelican is probably the best bet for OEM parts, but really have a look at Porsche of London, prices are quite good and also somewhat negotiable for at least the older cars plus the are close, guaranteed the right parts and Porsche quality.

+1 for USA. I've not found a Canadian supplier that's even remotely competetive. Shop around and also try Sonnen Porsche. Demand USPS shipping because there's no brokerage fee and often no HST if below $200.

Thanks, good to know. Looks like rockauto is going to be hard to beat. Right now I'm pricing out an ignition tune up (plugs, wires, distributors) at Rockauto it came out to a little over $500. Wires alone are usually over $700 elsewhere

Same here, but I have to be loyal to my thin wallet and shop stateside. 43% is too much of a difference.

Pelican Parts, Sunset Porsche, AutoGeek, etc.
