Thing is, I don't have an indoor facility of my own to wash her in and it's -11 out here.

Thoughts on where/how to wash her?
Since your in Richmond Hill.
Go over to Markham. Kennedy Road between hwy 7 & 407. Between the BMW/Honda/Mercedes dealers.
There's a Shell station with a massive indoor car wash. 12 bays and heated.
You just get the time ticket when you drive in. You don't need a jacket and can take as long as you want. Mat hangers, vacuum and all. You'll even get a bit of a discount if you fill up first.
Been going for years and is convenient as hell and typically costs me about $15-20.
And if your in a rush, the have a full length drive through as well.

+1 Esso at Yonge and Steeles. Pretty good indoor heated wash and pretty close to you. Confusing way to get out, usually have to call the counter on the speaker at exit and pay at the counter. Usually they just make up a cost. Around $14 for about 20 minutes. It's a good option in the winter.
There's also a great touchless wash at Red Maple Road and Hwy 7 Petro Canada. No tracks to scrape wheels, just drive in and wait while a 5 minute high pressure wash cleans the car really well.

There is a hand car wash on Bathurst just south of Drewry (between Steeles and Finch) on the east side. About $30 in and out.

Spent most of my life living in Langley and Calgary. Trust me, your zero degrees feels the same as our -11 (if the wind is not blowing too hard).

+2 on Yonge/Steeles Esso.

I wash my 5 series there all the time and have also done the GT3-RS but I bring my own supplies. I recently picked up some ONR which I will be trying soon.

LOL... remind me to check in with you in June

I'm sooooo happy I left BC. My feet are finally dry and the cold just lasts for so long.

Anyone else feel this is a colossal waste of water besides me? No disrespect to anyone who does this as I love a clean car and hand wash mine all summer with more water than I should... but the fact that Shell is advertising this as "Wash Once a Day for 90 Days!" makes me shake my head when I think about how people in other parts of the world are dying due to lack of fresh drinking water.

Most car washea reuse their was. Not sure exactly how much but I've heard something around 80%. This deal is only good if you have many cars.

I washed my DD tonight at the local drive through wash. But then parked it in the garage for the night.

Whatever you do don't use the Shell touchless car wash at McCown/16th Avenue in Markham, I repainted the hood on my 5 Series last May and have gone through several different car washes since but last week the high pressure peeled strips of clear coat of the hood.
