Default Going 911 shopping

I've priced out a 911, comes to $140,000. How much of a discount is reasonable to try and negotiate?

About 25% and you don't even have to ask for it...................in America!

At $140,000 it's no longer a 911 unless you plan on buying 4-5 of them
You might want to try your luck in the 997 GT3 forum !

Cheers !

Edit - buying a 2013 Carrera 4S, just wondering what percentage discount to try and negotiate for?

I got 5% off an inbound 997 C2S that was already built but had not arrived yet. Also got 5% off a 997 Turbo that was built to my specs, so I would start negotiations at more than 5% off.

Edit: Both were at Downtown Porsche who seemed a little more eager to negotiate than Pfaff. Things may be different now, so shop around. I would also try Porsche of London and see who will give you the best deal.

I'm guessing about 5%. It's the end of the year and most dealer principals are looking to make their yearly numbers. Sometimes you can get options or service thrown in as the margins are much higher than the car itself. Best of luck.

This is not a plug but I got a great deal from Jean (JP) at Downtown Porsche.

Best of luck.

A car that's ordered and won't be delivered for sometime won't affect the yearly numbers.

5% is a good target. Anything less and I'd shop around some more... Anything more and I'd jump on it. Remember, buying the car is only one aspect of ownership, so consider all facets.

Just FYI, the price difference for the 911 is much smaller than it used to be:

2006 4S MSRP:
USA 87,895
Canada 122,800
35,000 difference

2013 4S MSRP:
USA 105,630
Canada 120,500
15,000 difference
