The market here is small enough that it's entirely reflective of the US market, meaning that (typically) both sellers and buyers are smart enough to know the proper price here is roughly what the US market is, plus applicable importation costs. There shouldn't be any financial reason to shop in the US, but there can be enormous differences in selection. I'd expand my search to both sides of the border.

That car was sold through Motion Endeavours last spring. I'd instead contact Richard there to see if he can either pry it from the owner, or perhaps knows about another one. I know of one local to me, but I know it's not worth even asking him to sell

They have had the car a couple of years. When I was there in Dec. it was in the showroom. They increased the asking price to 425K from 375K a year ago. They have quite a car collection that is not for sale. I'm not sure how bad they really want to sell this one.

I cam very close to buying a black one last year from a gentleman in Vancouver. I believe that he still has the car. PM me if you're interested and I'll see if I can put you in touch.

While the 959 is exclusive, the 997TT eclipses the 959's performance.

The CGT ticks a lot of boxes: Manual transmission, mid-engined, RWD, naturally aspirated, open top motoring, aesthetically pleasing, meticulously engineered and a ludicrous soundtrack. Never really been a fan of the Italians. The CGT is pure form following function. It doesn't hurt that the 918 Spyder will probably push values up once it is on sale.

Thanks for the responses guys. Granted the horrid weather, I'm not in an immediate rush to snag one up. The search continues...

They also have an essentially brand new 997 GT2.
