Two Canadian Turbos
I have two excellent Canadian Cars under negotiation and of course I value the opinion of the board to the question "If you had your choice of a mid mileage 993tt (70KM) vs a higher mileage 964 3.6T with speedlines (100KM) ( both Canadian Cars!) which is your preferance? How much premium for either car would you pay - or about the same?
I have my favourite- but its amazing the perspectives I get on these boards - but its you guys that are my target market in a couple of years when I go move one of these cars. Comments please?

If I were to go old school. For the looks, I'd choose the 964 Turbo even though it probably is more temperamental and needs more attention. I expect you'd pay a lot less for it though.

I'll make you a deal...you buy the 993 and send me a link to the 3.6. Fair?

I've been looking at 993TTs so I can tell you what I'd pay for them...993TT 70K (silver or black) $65,000-$70,000 (there's one in quebec for $78K but I think it's high). 3.6 Turbo? I'd be reluctant to buy it with 100K on it unless I was sure I'd keep it for a long long time and enjoy it. $55K-$60K and there's a chance that when you sell it in a few years that typically mileage-shy types won't go any higher.

I agree with Sharpman, and I would rather the 964T personally. Reason mainly because I have a feeling it's more "raw" than the 993. Haven't driven (or even ridden) in either though. I also prefer the looks of the 964T, and those speedlines look fantastic on them!
964T would have to be black I think.

993tt, unless the 964 is something special like a 1994

Go with the 993TT. It should be more reliable and you can drive it for a few years and still be under 100k.
and knowing your car buying habbits......get the 965 right after

Personally I'd get something you've never owned unless your having huge regrets about selling the 993TT.
Are the production #s lower on the 964 3.6? To me this car def seems more rare, like one stated if its a 94 in the right color combo you got a winner.
At the mileage of both cars, it's a coin flip either you could be spending maintenance $ on, since based on time things still need to be done.
I would lean towards the one in the best condition, both cars are just amazing turbos ever produced by Porsche.

+ ! on the 993 TT (my dream car from highschool), I'll be the first in line when you decide to move on from it in a couple of years! LOL I could make the jump to the 996 TT now money wise but i'd rather wait for my dream car.
