Winter driving
So who drove their P-car through that crap in GTA yesterday? I didn't.
Work to home is 17 km, I left work at 5pm, heard about an accident on the highway so decided to take a detour, which turned out to be equally congested, so I turned around only to find out it's even worse.
Took me 1.5 hrs to get right back to where I started, and another .5 hrs to get home.
2 hrs to go 17 km, I think this has been a record for me......

I escaped with little trouble too. Though I headed out of Oakville @2, and came across to the east end with little trouble..I did come out to find my car had "some" snow on it, though I don't think it really counts as my "first snow day" in my Porsche.
At 4:30 I left the stalled QEW at Winston Churchill believing that a route through Oakville downtown was a better bet. I arrived home in east Burlington at 7:30. Roads were polished ice and gridlocked.
Burlington was where I was coming home from last night........, I saw a Crown Vic taxi turned around because he got tired of waiting, only to find his tires had no grip on the ever so slightly uphill going the other direction!! He kept backing down a bit more at a time to try get some momentum going forward, no luck 10 minutes later when I crept enough forward and could not see him anymore.
