Congratulations Greg. Great car. You'll love the turbo when you get used to it. I'm looking about for a DD/DE ride too but haven't made my mind up on which model...........

It's always a tough decision and it's always going to be determined what your needs are and budget and if you want to be in a Porsche.
The 996 Turbo is a Mosport car.

You got it. The C4S needs few things to make it pop. New wind shield, stone chips fixed and front calipers and wheels repainted. Then it will be straight up eye candy.
Eshel how many times did you need to fuel up at the track? Seems to be a gas hog and the gas tank seems too small for this puppy. I swear I've seen 1.1 and 1.2 bar in the boost meter.

Full tank leaving home for Mosport, refill on a good day b/f lunch.
.7 bar pre-chip and linear acceleration, post chip .1 -.9 nothing in between
peak around 1.0-1.1 depending on conditions. Post plenum installation
sometimes 1.2 bar. Keep in mind in cold weather conditions, the car feels
way stronger, plus you are getting some wheel spin, which helps things along as well.
Keep in mind you now have over 500 hp but more important is the equivalent amount of Torque.

Well that is about what I'd get unless there was extensive track time during the day.
well it's cold and it does love it. yes wheel spin unless your trying to be smooth. I been in a gear higher just to prevent the wheel spin. 1st gear is basically useless much better to short shift to 2nd right away.

So whats turbo lag? the foot to floor it and the PSM intervening or is it the foot to floor it and the brain not processing how fast your going. This thing is trouble and then some. I can't drive it the same at all.

Some say it's the time taken for the turbos to spool if you are out of the boost range. Then again N/A cars take time to rev as well at low rpm's.
PSM will intervene in most vehicles depending on the parameters, moreso with the newer torque vectoring nannies.
"This thing is trouble and then some." I felt the same way post chip upgrade, the difference in power was that striking. For you even more dramatic, given the disparity to your C4S. According to the tech's at Pfaff my car pre chip upgrade felt like it was chipped. You can see it in the video when up against chipped 997's or Turbo S.
In time you will get used to the power. The Jumper will adapt.
ps do not install any aftermarket air filters no matter what the claims....
