Mine has the alcantara headliner, and it was not listed as an option, therefore Porsche must have made it standard at some stage on the 997.
Same here, my car is a plain ol' Carrera and the first year for the 997. Mine is fully optioned, and in the spec sheet I got from the dealer there is no mention of alcantara as an option. I'd say it's standard.
