Winter driving
A fellow from Sudbury came by my house to pick up some parts I had for sale.
Yes, from Sudbury! And he drove a MK 1 996 NB 4-wheel drive convertible here! (I didn't realize there were narrow body 4-wheel drive 996, learn something new everyday)
He came to T.O. for the bike show downtown and swung by afterwards, we had a good chat, his car was an U.S. salvage title, he did a fair bit of body work to repair/replace the front end, had also re-built the TipTronics transmission after he brought it home, something about burning out the reverse gear from towing the car home with the rear wheels on the ground, even in neutral, not sure I understand why that would burn out the reverse gear.
He mentioned he drove through about an hour of winter storm near Perry Sound on his way down, and was glad he kept his winter tires on the car.
