Hi guy's. I would like to introduce myself and my new (to me) 911.
We all know the story, ever since I could remember I've loved and wanted a 911. After looking and researching for quite a while I finally decided to pull the trigger and make good on my childhood dream, and man does it feel good!!!!
The chassis is a 1966 911 converted to a 1978 turbo look. The engine is a 1978 3.0 rebuilt a couple years ago by Mantis racing in Oakville Ontario (Canada).
The body has all steel fenders but has some rust that needs to be adressed. Whoever did the body work did a decent job but the paint is horrible, so a respray is needed.
My first priority is to get the interior stripped to check out the floor pans and underneath the rear seats. I noticed the brake fluid resevoir is leaking but i don't know how bad it is yet. I just hope there is no damaged metal.
Anyway enough babbling, and here are some pictures.
P.S. I hope you guy's are patient beacause this is my first Porsche and i will be asking alot of questions. And also if there are any Torontonians out there and you know of any good places to get new or used parts that wouldbe very much appreciated. Thanks in advance

Very nice - congrats!
I also just joined the 911 club a few days ago and pulled the trigger on a '06 c2s.
Like you, it's been a dream that I've been patiently waiting to fulfill. For years.

WOW now thats a car. This is my entry level Porsche, and also a bit of a project, but hopefully I can get into something like that one day. Hope you enjoy it. That thing must be a blast to drive.

The rebuild was done a couple years ago and 2 owners ago, so I doubt it still has warranty. I should call them up though beacause the rear main seal (flywheel side) is leaking pretty bad. That would be great if it still has warranty or else I'll have to pull the engine myself. No big deal either way

You must be talking about Iceman(Clive). He already welcomed me over in the 911 forum. Ididn't even know there was a Canadian section haha, he pointed me in the right direction. He even offered to pick up some parts for me and bring them to a meet!! What an awesome community you guys got going here. Keep it up guys
