Default Ethanol

Not exactly from the horses mouth but here is a website listing manufacturers that do not recommend fuel containing 10% ethanol.

http://www.e10bensiini.fi/en/e10_com..._cars/porsche/

When Porsche is selected as a manufacturer, this is the list of models for which Porsche does NOT recommend using 10% Ethanol gasoline:

356 1950-65
912 1965-69; 1976
911 1965-89
911 (964) 1989-94
911 (993) 1994-98
959 1988-89
914 1970-77
924 1976-88
944 1981-91
968 1991-95
928 1977-95

Which is pretty much all the Porsche you'd ever want to drive, anyway.

There's a bit someone on the 993 Turbo forum got from some Porsche site that said something like "Porsche does not recommend the use of gasoline containing ethanol in any of it's cars."...but I can't find it.

Come on now Clive. I bet you'd love the raw feel of a GT3?

Clive is in denial. Air-cooled motors are almost ice age in terms of technology now. But what can you expect from the guy who calls himself THE Ice Man.

It's not really about the air, it's about overall driving feel. My guess is the modern GT3's would best approximate the raw feel of the old (air kooled) cars.

Porsche - E10 warnings/precautions only- Quote, "...change to a different fuel or station if any of the following problems occur: deterioration of driveability and performance, substantially reduced fuel economy, vapor lock, and engine malfunction or stalling".

Here in BC there is legislation to mandate that all gasoline contain at least 5% in ethanol.

This is supposed to help cut greenhouse emissions?????

If you want to cut greenhouse emissions why not allow the site C dam to proceed.

Yet again the morons in government are drinking the cool aid that the f*cking tree huggers are passing out.

I know it's not politically correct to question the gospel preached by the greenies but for gods sake we need the silent majority to push back.
