I do 95% city driving. I rarely get outside city limits. Strictly highway was 10l/100 avg.

It was the 6 cylinder. I didn't like the shakey idle of the 4. The 6 also has good torque and jump off the line. Easier to control the pendulum turns before you screw up and spin out:-)

Nice one! Should have said something tha tyou were inteh marked for an '06 A4. My next door neighbour was selling ( with very little effort) his for 18mths and when the family van broke down, he traded it in, with the van, for a Pilot. less than a week ago, same year, colour as yours but a 2.0T 6speed.

What was the $$$$$ damage, if I may ask?

Yep, needed the auto. Not just for the wife, but my leg has been giving me some problems over the last year. might have to sell the GT and replace with a nice S4 maybe. It got so bad a while ago that I couldn't drive truck for more than 4 hrs with all the clutching. My leg would swell up and get so painfull that I had to do a career change (for the better anyways).

As for the deal, I offered him 3 goats, a donkey, a cow, and my first two children.....

He agreed on the goats, donkey, cow, and cash, but not the children. hahaha

Everything said and done=lesss than $15,000. and that was the buget.

I drive that car every day, so it gets a little dirty. Just happened togo down a road the day before that ran out of pavement. Wasgoing to the cae wash that morning, and had a little hicup, didn't even think that I would be able to make it. noticed that I joined the group 1/4 way into the drive? ......

Because I live down that way, I think I will organize a reverse route drive. Even if I don't get the same roads, the tunnel will be part of it, and will end at a good eatery.I called this year and could get "all you can eat RIBS" $16/person. but someone else decided to organize that one?????

Steve,

I think that's a good price. BUT do whatever it takes to fix you leg and keep the GT. If you have to blow a goat, do be it!

I was pissed when he didn't want to sell it to you for only $1000 less. The genius must have gotten around $10 as a trade in.
