Hey Puma,

Thank you for helping me out !
That guy was in Kentucky ... lol and his asking price was a little high.

I would prefer to find something in Ontario or Quebec as i still have to drive down with my truck to haul back whatever i buy !
Hopefully something not too distant will come along ...

Cheers !
Phil

Have you touched base with Chris at Primo? When folks want to move up to a new enclosed, they usually have something they need to get rid of...

Knowing Chris, he's already seen this thread and has maybe even contacted you!

Hey Peter,

Haven't heard from Chris,i would imagine that if he had something for me he would have contacted me already ...
There's probably not a lot of movement at this time due to it being a Canadian Winter with snow and cold weather but i'm just planning ahead as track season opens in four months !

I appreciate the help guys

Cheers !

I've been away since the 27th and just got home this morning at 4:00am. Oh they joys of Air Canada and coming home to a truck that is an ice cube after freezing rain, snow and then -26C last night. Took me an hour to clean it off.

Anyway, Phil used aluminum trailers are like gold, especially in Canada. There just aren't that many of them around and they tend to get traded around amongst those in the car community, especially Porsche. Good news for the owners is they tend to retain their value pretty well, especially compared to a steel trailer. Bad news for buyers though.

A good used aluminum trailer doesn't last all that long. Even demos at the end of the year typically sell for a few hundred $$$ off what a new one would go for.

Given the strength of the Canadian dollar and the fact that Trailex typically has an early order promo it may make sense to pony up and buy a new one. You get what you want and the price, with the exchange, promo, and discounted shipping (shipping a truckload is cheaper on a per unit basis than shipping 1 by itself) the new to used price comparison becomes that much closer.

Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

Chris.

FYI

Trailex is raising their price for aluminum trailers effective early next week. This wasn't unexpected as the last price increase was in the fall of 2008.

Dwane, that sounds good but a new trailer is $7000.00 plus ...
I think i would have to mow everybody's lawn and clean their pools, tire transport wouldn't be
near enough

Cheers !
